Peter Julsrud

Pete Julsrud is a class A member of the PGA and has been teaching golf for 22 years. He has taught at private and public facitilities and has helped thousands of students of all ages and skill levels learn the game and sharpen their skills.

Pete's teaching philosophy can best be described as fundamental, with a belief that there is no such thing as one perfect golf swing that we can all adapt to. Acknowledging that there are many systems and philosophies of teaching, one must be wary of those claiming superiority over others.

Pete's style is as much coach as that of teacher. His approach is based primarily on pre-swing fundamentals, and a golf swing in which we turn the body. He emphasizes motion over position, and stresses the short game.

Pete grew up playing golf in a little southeastern Minnesota town where his uncle managed the local golf course. He attended Luther College in Decorah, Iowa where he majored in English and religion with an education background.
